What are "Speaker minutes" and "Viewer minutes"?

• Speaker Minute: Duration a host/speaker spends in the session. (Duration x No. of Speakers)
• Viewer Minute: Duration a viewer watches the stream. (Duration x No. of Viewers)
• Example: A 30-min stream with 2 speakers and 100 viewers:
  • 60 Speaker Minutes
  • 3000 Viewer Minutes

How is Interactive Live Streaming pricing calculated? Can you provide an example?

Let's say 2 speakers stream for 30 minutes with 100 viewers:

• Livestream duration: 30 minutes
• Speaker minutes: 30 minutes × 2 speakers = 60 speaker-minutes
• Viewer minutes: 30 minutes × 100 viewers = 3,000 viewer-minutes
• Assuming HD video resolution:
  • Speaker rate: $0.003/min
  • Viewer rate: $0.0015/min
• Total cost:
  • Speaker cost: 60 × $0.003 = $0.18
  • Viewer cost: 3,000 × $0.0015 = $4.50
  • Total: $4.68

Do the 10,000 free minutes apply to streaming?

• Yes. The free monthly quota covers Speaker and Viewer minutes across all resolutions.
• It does not cover encoding charges (for HLS), recording, or RTMP-out.

How does the free quota priority work?

• Free minutes are consumed in the following order (cheapest to most expensive):
  1. Viewer Audio
  2. Viewer HD -> Full HD -> 2K -> 2K+
  3. Speaker Audio
  4. Speaker HD -> Full HD -> 2K -> 2K+
  5. Conferencing Audio -> HD -> Full HD -> ...
• This ensures you get the maximum value from your free tier.

Why am I charged for HD if I set a low resolution?

• Charges are based on aggregate resolution.
• If a viewer watches 8 streams of 320x180, the total pixel count (518,400 px) falls into the HD category, so they are charged the HD rate.

Invoice & Billing

Free vs. Paid Accounts

• Free Account: Default upon signup. Includes 10,000 free minutes.
• Paid Account: Activated when you add a credit card. You are only charged if you exceed the free limits or use add-on services.

When are invoices generated?

• Invoices are generated on the 2nd or 3rd of each month.
• Auto-charge is attempted within 24 hours.
• If payment fails, services may be suspended after the due date (9th/10th).

Do unused free minutes roll over?

• No. The 10,000 free minutes reset at the beginning of each calendar month. They do not carry forward.

Taxes and Indian GST

• International: No taxes applied unless local laws require it.
• India:
  • Invoices are in INR.
  • 18% GST is applicable.
  • TDS (2%) is applicable under section 194(C) or 194(J).
  • GST and PAN details must be updated in the dashboard.
