    Function setVideoEffects

      • Sets the video effects configuration.

      • Works before the room is joined, where it seeds the next camera start, and while one is running. A pipeline switch takes effect at the next camera start, because the capture session's targets are fixed once it is configured — toggle the webcam, or switch cameras, for a live change. Effect settings inside a running graph are swapped immediately.

      • The request is not a guarantee. Asking for pipeline: "GRAPH" on a device with no usable OpenGL ES / Metal runtime leaves capture on the unprocessed "LEGACY" path rather than failing. Read applied and reason in the reply rather than assuming.

      Parameters

      Returns Promise<AppliedVideoEffectsConfig>

      The applied configuration — the document the core parsed, plus applied, reason, tier and degradeLevel. Empty if the SDK core is not loaded.

      import { setVideoEffects } from "@videosdk.live/react-native-sdk";

      const result = await setVideoEffects({
      pipeline: "GRAPH",
      lighting: { enabled: true, strength: 0.8 },
      filter: { lut: "WARM" },
      });
      if (result.applied !== true) console.warn("effects not applied:", result.reason);
